1. Counseling can help you understand and identify what is getting in your way of making the changes you want in your life.
2. Counseling can also teach you ways of handling stressful life events and situations you can’t change.
3. The most helpful aspect of counseling is that as your counselor, I am objective and not involved in the situation you're trying to resolve.
As your counselor, I only have your best interests to consider. I will follow your lead and will go at your pace when processing the issues you present. Together, we will work to increase insight into your ways of thinking, feeling and behaving, identify your strengths, replace negative thinking, and obtain coping skills to effectively handle life stressors. I believe in the process of counseling and the positive affects counseling can provide and would like the opportunity to assist you through this process.
