New, Redesigned Small Group Training at Fit Therapy of Texas
Are you ready to get FIT? Beginning May 1st, our group training classes are going to be a bang for your buck. Our group training classes typically focus on one or two muscle groups with a finisher to ensure you gave it your all. However, our new format will be a Full Body FIT class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, Cardio Conditioning H.I.I.T FIT class on Tuesday and Saturday, and a Core and Mobility FIT class on Thursday. This blog will discuss what these classes will focus on, the benefits of group training, and why you should join our group training classes.
**$99 Special expires on 5/15/2021. The small group training special is for new clients only**
Full Body FIT Class: Our new and improved Full Body FIT class will focus on the whole body, but will emphasize a muscle group for that day. For example, Monday will be a Full Body FIT class, but will emphasize legs with upper body exercises. Wednesday will emphasize back with lower and upper body exercises, and Friday will emphasize chest with lower and upper body exercises. Our goal is to target one muscle group so that other muscles do not overwork or burn out, and to ensure proper recovery. There will be a finisher at the end of the workout to ensure that you gave it your all, and left the gym knowing you had a great workout!
Cardio Conditioning H.I.I.T FIT Class: Our new and improved Cardio Conditioning H.I.I.T FIT class will focus on H.I.I.T training, conditioning, cardio endurance, and making your heart stronger and healthier. What is H.I.I.T training, you ask? H.I.I.T training is a form of interval training, a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods, until you become too exhausted to continue. You will be doing an intense exercise for a certain amount of time as fast as you can with little rest. We will also be doing our conditioning circuits to improve your endurance and ensure a stronger, healthier heart. Additionally, there is a cardio finisher. This class will be beneficial for those interested in weight loss and fat burning. Research shows that high intensity training burns more fat than steady state cardio.
Core and Mobility FIT class: This is a new class that will help strengthen the core and enhance mobility. Core training is important not only for exercise, but for daily activities. We use our core everyday when doing activities such as walking, standing, and sitting up straight. Having a weak core can lead to low back pain, bad posture, and more risk to injury. It is important to strengthen the core to improve these issues that a weak core will entice. Mobility is the ability to move or to move freely and easily. We will stretch out the muscles to improve flexibility, body movement, and lengthen the muscle to strengthen the muscles. The class being scheduled on Thursday will allow your body time to recover from the classes earlier in the week and to prepare for Friday and Saturday classes.
Benefits of Group Training: There are many benefits to starting a group training program. The energy is on another level. You will have energy from your fitness expert and group members. They will motivate, encourage, and cheer you on throughout the whole workout. Furthermore, you will make friends during your fitness journey. It is a great feeling seeing people becoming friends during the group setting. You will exchange numbers, talk before and after class, and be there for each other when a workout becomes difficult. You will have accountability. Your fitness expert will check up on you every week to see how you are liking the classes, how you are feeling, and your nutrition. We are here to help you lose weight, gain muscle, and be healthier physically and mentally.
